With Groot Constantia wine cellar a mere 5 mins walk across the vineyards & the historic estates of Klein Constantia, Constantia Uitsig, Buitenvewachting  and Steenberg close by, Dendron is a perfect base to explore the wine farms of the Constantia Valley. Excellent restaurants and wine tasting in magnificent old cellars with dramatic views of the Constantiaberg mountains make for any food/wine lovers dream holiday.

For those who are staying a little longer, the wine areas of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek are a mere hours drive and well worth a visit.

Half way between the Atlantic and the Indian oceans, Dendron is a perfect spot from which to enjoy the Cape beaches....when the Cape Doctor is blowing, head off for the more sheltered but cold seas of the Atlantic where the buzz & excitement of Clifton, Camps Bay & LLandudno will heat you up after a dip in the freezing water. On calmer days the warmer waters of Muizenberg, Fish Hoek & Simonstown with their lovely sandy beaches will entice you.

Table Mountain

Standing proud above Cape Town & seemingly rising from the ocean Table Mountain is a must for all visitors to the Cape...for the energetic there are numerous paths up , over & around the mountain with views that one can only dream about...for the not so energetic the cable way will whisk you to the top of the mountain where you can wander at will & enjoy the unsurpassed views of the whole peninsula, Robben Island and the 12 Apostles. A  keen  mountain hiker, Jill is very happy to help you organise day walks around the mountain & give advice on where to go.

For the golfing enthusiasts, the Cape Peninsula is a wonder with the magnificent & scenic courses of Royal Cape, Westlake, Clovelly, Rondebosch & Mowbray a mere stones throw away from Dendron. We are very happy to arrange tee off times & make bookings for our guests.

Cape of Good Hope

An area of rugged unspoilt beauty where the cold waters of the Atlantic meet the warmer waters of the Indian causing dramatic wild seas...known as the shipwreck coast. A visit to Cape Point makes for a scenic day tour which can incorporate the dramatic Chapmans Peak Drive, Noordhoek Farm Village with its wonderful restaurants & shops, Scarborough with its famous camel Rock, Cape Point ,Simonstown & Boulders Beach , the home of the Jackass Penguin.

Cape Town City Centre and the V & A Waterfront

The history of Cape Town , why & how it came to be can be discovered either on a walking tour of the old city or from the comfort of the topless bus ....Government Avenue & the Companys Gardens, the slave museum, Greenmarket square, the Grand parade, District 6 museum & after an overdose of history the Victoria & Alfred waterfront is a perfect place to shop till you drop or enjoy a fine meal overlooking the harbour & the magnificent backdrop of Table Mountain.
